Stay close to this longing

There is an ache within you, but it is unlike any ache you have ever known. It is relentless and wild, but also of the nature of a burning sweetness. It is there as you wake in the morning, dripping into your heart during the day, and unbearably intimate with you all through the night.

It is forming particles of joy and happiness within you, taking shape as your sense of openness and connection, and unfolding its intelligence when you feel sad, lost, and confused, wondering where the grace has gone.

This ache is not a mistake. Stay close to this longing for it is the bridge between your heart and the heart of the beloved.

The revelation of your wild aliveness

In the realms
you are in now,
you need not worry
about words
and understanding concepts.

For there is
another language
you are attuning to.
Stay close
to this language.

There are transmissions
written inside the cells
of your heart
that are not composed
of ordinary symbols.

They are love letters,
written to you
from the beloved.

As you begin to translate
these secret messages,
you are shown that
it is through your
sensitivity, your vulnerability,
and your sacred aloneness
that your wild aliveness
will be revealed.

If you will weave a home
for the light
and the dark within you
the mysteries of
separation and union
will pour forth
into this world.

A wild secret about the nature of love

Your body is love’s temple, your heart is its tavern, and your eyes are its windows. Your words of kindness are its voice and the ways you tenderly touch and hold another are its arms.

It can be astonishing to realize that it is only through you that love can find safe passage into this weary world.

You have taken birth in a place where love is alive and is orchestrating the comings and goings of the stars, the galaxies, and the sacred breath within you. But please do not forget that this life is not forever, and that we do not know if we will be given an opportunity like this again. Allow the reality to enter you, that you will be called home very soon.

Recognizing this, please give yourself to others and to this world, for if you do not, something may be lost. For you are a radically unique fragrance of the beloved, and it is through you alone that a wild secret about the nature of love can be revealed.

Take the luminous pathway into the center

Sometimes you are asked to walk out into the darkness, into the unwanted places of your body and your psyche, and into the uncharted realms of your heart... without any assurance you will ever find your way. But the path of love is one of wholeness, and a partial journey will never, ever meet your most precious longing.

Friend, it is true the beloved will walk with you into these and every world of experience, but she will not protect you from the direct encounter with your own heart. She has not come to provide feelings of safety or surety—or to deliver upon you only certain emotions and experiences. She and her emissaries are of the unknown—and their wisdom and creativity is of the unseen. Look up into the golden-blue of this dimension and you will see them.

Many of you are seeing that your longing and your burning are not mistakes which must be subjected to spiritual process, but are luminous pathways into the center, and that what you are is a dancing environment of a wild grace. Love is unfolding itself into this realm of experience through your body, via your senses, and through your words as you speak sweetness and as you hold yourself and others with pure, loving presence.

If you will not provide sanctuary for the broken and the whole within you, how will love ever reach this weary world?

Yes, this journey is so hard at times, can be so lonely, and at times you feel so hopeless. But you are seeing that even these qualities are those of the beloved, weaving herself into your life in whatever way she can, never giving up on you, your eternal friend, and will never stop until you are on fire with love.

The yoga of a broken heart

At times a broken heart will appear as your teacher, and you will be asked to practice the most radical yogas of sadness and vulnerability. At times you may see that the yoga of a broken heart is the highest path for you and will ask you to set aside all others, placing your tenderness, your aloneness, and the scary places upon the altar in front of you.

Allow yourself to be the great yogini of the broken heart, for it may be why you have come here—to feel the longing and the burning of this world, to hold and metabolize it inside the grace field of your own body, and to shower beings everywhere with your wisdom and your love.

You are wedded to the unknown now, and you are willing to give your heart to others and to this world—to use even your sadness, your hopelessness, and your aloneness to connect with others, allowing yourself to be crafted as a wild translucent vessel of kindness.
