An assembly of lovers

Having no safe haven to come alive and share their qualities, the orphaned pieces of psyche have no choice but to conceal themselves deep in the body, the unconscious, in the cells of the heart, brain, belly, and throat. These ones will never truly leave us, but remain in seed form until conditions are ripe for reintegration.

They only long to be allowed back home, like any tired wayfarer or traveler of the underworld. While it is natural to turn from them in order to fit in to a world that has forgotten, we sense that until we provide a home for the fragmented we may always feel a bit flat, uninspired, and that something is missing.

From this experience of primordial loss, we will look for these ones in another, in a sunset, in the moon, or in the circumstances of our lives… but we will never find them there. And our heart breaks.

From time to time, if we listen carefully, we will hear an invitation to a tender gathering. It is an assembly of lovers, circling inside and around us, colored by a longing for presence. Here, we enter the temple where a holy reunion is taking place.
