Interpersonal resonance

Articulating our emotional experience and the way we have come to make sense of our lives can be incredibly healing, reorganizing, and transformational.

In a resonant relational field we are able to access and integrate dissociated and unknown thoughts, feelings, and sensations, befriending parts of ourselves that had fallen away, infusing them with breath, awareness, and love.

While the power of a true I-Thou relationship has been known experientially for a long time, contemporary neuroscience has elucidated the mechanisms of what is happening in the extended nervous system during moments of interpersonal resonance, and the neural integration that is fostered in a moment of right brain-to-right brain attunement.

This is not some sort of airy-fairy pseudoscience and positive thinking. Read the research and see. Or just open your heart and feel.

One of the greatest gifts we can offer to another is a soothed, calm, and regulated nervous system. Where they can truly feel seen, feel felt, and rest from a lifetime of misattunement.

Never underestimate the power of love. Even one moment of empathic, attuned contact can change our lives in unimaginable ways.
