It is this giving that is your only yoga now

From time to time, we all have the experience that the ground has fallen away and there are no longer any reference points to return to. It is as if the known world has dissolved into vast empty space, with the burning unknown as our only remaining refuge.

Deep in the caverns of being, the mysteries of lover and beloved are being held, so that those with open hearts may discover these secrets when the conditions are ripe. Yes, in any moment our hearts may break, we may fall in love in the most excruciating way, but we really have no choice other than to move closer, for wild intimacy with all things is the only way for us now.

While we will take rest from time to time, we are simultaneously seeing that there is really no day off for the traveler with the broken-open heart, for we never know when love will need us. We are willing to touch the sadness of the world, hold it inside our bodies, and dance without bias with the light as well as the dark. We are willing to engage equally with the energies of separation and union, broken and whole, and oneness and many, as each unique situation calls to us, for the benefit of beings everywhere. Everything here is valid, everything is path, and nothing need be discarded.

In many ways, our lives are no longer our own, for we have given them to love. It is this giving that is our only yoga now.
